
On 6th, Professor Hae-Ryong Song, orthopaedic surgery Korea university Kuro hospital receieved Achievement award at "SBS 1st Hopeful Tomorrow Sharing Awards" held at SBS building, Mok-Dong Seoul.
SBS social contribution "The most beautiful trip in the world", Professor Song participated as a member of solution committee which is consisted of experts in various fields including medical, welfare and etc. He was acknwoledged of his devoted work of finding solutions, performing free surgeries and providing medical helps for patients and families suffering from deformity and rare diseases from May 2003 the first broadcast till now.
Professor Song who was awarded with official commendation from Minister of Health and Welfare for participating in medical expense supporting business for patients with rare disease in 2008, also established LPK supports patients with short stature.
He also worked as a director of various community welfare foundations including Korean Organization for Rare Diseases and Community Chest of Korea and whilst he consulted for medical advices for government and lead expanding social awareness for rare disease.
Not only but he also actively participated in medical expense supporting business and increased range of treatment benefits for patients with economic hardship. Apart from these activities, he helped with establish Rare disease center within Kuro hospital and welfare facilities.
Currently at Ministry of Health and Welfare assigned specialized hospital research center, Rare bone disease/defect center he is researching to develop a patient-custom-made artificial supporter which stimulates osteogenesis and functional cell fusion.
On the other hand, SBS Hoepful Tomorrow Sharing Awards is co-managed with Ministry of Health and Welfare, Community Chest of Korea and SBS practice sharing and volunteering and expand culture of sharing by awarding socially contributing organizations, NGO organization and individuals.
